***I signed out! That's my story for today. It's like a tradition for students in my department to sign on their shirts after their final examination in school as undergraduates. Glad to have you back on this week’s edition of the contest. Hope we all are doing just great. I would like to appreciate @ruthjoe for organising this amazing contest. I believe it's one of the best contests I'd participate in this week. It’s that time of the day to keep to my words. I had mentioned in my last post that I was wrapping up my years in school as an undergraduate. That day finally came. It was yesterday. To say if I am officially a graduate now? I’d take it with a beautiful smile. But I still have my seminar and project defence ot seal this up officially. While we wait on that day to come, God-willing, let’s focus on the joy that’s before us now. Yesterday, I woke up just like every other day, but more thankful. I almost got teary because, it was all an idea in my little head a few years back.

*** I never for once doubted what the Lord was doing for me, and how He was doing it, but worry at some point just got made me feel trapped and lost in thoughts. I didn’t keep to the plan of trusting in the Lord’s faithfulness. I thought, “university is for wealthy people, super-intelligent folks, and for tall persons.” Meanwhile, I am not short. I am not just as tall as some people would want me to.

I looked at my possible factor that would’ve become possible hindrances to serve as excuses, and I got overwhelmed.

My first year in school screamed, “take a break,” and I became even more confused. I had experiences that shaped and changed my perspective about academics, friends, and building. It was a total shocker. I battled with myself a couple of times trying to figure out so many things at the same time. I wanted to fit in. I wanted to be perfect. I wanted to have the perfect friends. I wanted to study everything. But my approach was not strategic. And I became too hard on myself. With time, I began to adapt, and things went better. Yesterday, I allowed myself to be grateful for every experience I had. It was fun, enlightening, and refreshing. I didn’t have to agree with everyone for us to be cool.

I just needed to respect each other’s view on something and talk about it with calmness. That was when I realised people were more difficult to control, so you must be calm and collected.

My parents made sure I came here. The finish line was not just the aim, but one with a genuine smile. I also realised yesterday that you could work as long as, and as hard as you can alone, quietly, in the dark, failing, doubting, losing, winning. But once you win where they see you, you become everybody’s friend. People want to celebrate and identify with you. It’s a beautiful thing, but the process is always on just one or a few persons. Yesterday was one of the best days of my life. I took it all in, and I’m doing nothing less.
