"Photo of the Week Contest 10 | Sharing my best Photo of the Week"

Hello friends welcome to my blog. I will be sharing my best picture for the week with you.

This picture will always give me a memory of an event I would have missed. I have been so busy throughout the week that I did not notice a group I belong to had sent a WhatsApp message for a planned meeting. Until the morning of the event, a friend called to remind me of it, as she thought I was aware of the meeting. She actually called to tell me who to collect my branded T-shirt from in case I arrive earlier than her. I totally forgot about it, so when she called, I tidied up what I was doing, and I got set for the event.

I arrived a bit late, when the first speaker was already on stage giving her talk. Although the attendance then was quite poor, I got a good space to sit and listen to her. In her talk, she encouraged women to fulfil their purpose in life, that in any environment or situation we find ourselves, we are meant to be there for a purpose. She used a lot of her personal life stories as an illustration. After her talk, we had a group photograph with her before she left.

Before the second speaker began, there was a little break time, and the lady with my T-shirt gave it to me, and I had to charge into it, and so did other people who had not changed into theirs. Mine was a black T-shirt, that's the colour for my sub-group. We have about four subgroups with different colours of T-shirts to differentiate ourselves. The colours are Black, Cream, Yellow and Green.

While we were on the second talk of the day, a larger number of people joined us. This time the speaker talked about "Who a woman is". She emphasises that a woman should be a confidant who can be trusted with information, and also that a woman must carry herself with integrity. There was time for questions and answers. It was an educational and interactive meeting.

We had time for games, dancing, and discussions. I was happy I attended because I learnt a lot and also shared my ideas. I will say we also had fun at the meeting

So I call these pictures my best pictures of the week. Whenever I see the faces in the picture, it reminds me a lot learnt from each participant and their point of view on so many topics of discussion.

I have not been attending this meeting for a long time, all thanks to my friend who reminded me of this event. I would have missed it as usual because I truly forgot and had a different schedule for my day.
