Hello friends, I am super excited to write you today and share how I spent my Monday, 13th of January 2025. I spent most hours of today at home doing one of the things I love doing, which was cooking, but in the evening, I went to meetings. I prepared one of the most generally eaten foods in Nigeria, that is the Nigerian Jollof rice. This is one of the special recipes in Nigeria and a party without Jollof rice in Nigeria is considered not a grand party. **Let me share with you, the ingredients for the Nigerian Jollof rice, and the steps I took in cooking this simple but palatable recipe**

--- Having seen some of the ingredients, you may be eager to see the steps to preparing this palatable recipe, and some who know how to prepare may want to see my method and the look of my Jollof rice. Well, preparing Jollof rice is more like following the set pattern, which is not diverse. **Here are the steps I took in preparing the Nigerian Jollof rice**. --- --- **STEPS I TOOK TO PREPARE THE NIGERIAN JOLLOF RICE**: - I parboiled my rice. Some people prefer not to parboil theirs, but in my method, I parboiled my rice to have that attractive look. - I prepared my ingredients like washing fish, grinding pepper, and crayfish. Cutting the tomato fruits, emptying the tomato paste from its sachet into a plate, and chopping onions. - I placed my cooking pot on my cooker, turned my vegetable oil into the pot, and then allowed it to be hot for some time. - I put my tomato fruits, the sliced ones, and My tomato paste in the vegetable oil which is already in the cooker. I allowed it for 15 minutes on the fire, while stirring. This is to do away with the clapping taste tomato naturally has. - I added a proportional quantity of water to the tomato and oil. Then I put seasoning cube, ground pepper, crayfish, chopped onions, fish, and salt, all in proportional quantities. I stirred it and had a taste to ascertain it was tasty. - I poured my parboiled rice into the sauce, stirred it, and covered the pot for the rice to absorb the sauce and for evaporation to occur. When it was dried, my Nigerian Jollof rice was ready for consumption. Please have a look at the pictures of the steps below:
