Today's post goes to saltwater and freshwater fish that is pufferfish, also called blowfish. This typical fish is much known for its ability to inflate itself by swallowing water or air. It spreads throughout tropical and subtropical waters, and its meat is considered a delicacy that also contain a highly toxic substance called tetrodotoxin, which may cause serious illness or death if consumed in large enough quantities. To serve its meat, pufferfish must be prepared by well trained and licensed chefs. Puffer fish, also known as fugu, is considered a delicacy in Japan.
