It is popularly said that the way you dress is the way you will be addressed. I also believe that dressing well gives a person confidence, boldness, and comfort. Last week was a very decisive moment for me, as I had to choose the right outfit to wear for my induction ceremony into the teaching profession as a professional teacher.
I was like, 'Oh my goodness, what should I wear to this occasion? Should I appear in our traditional attire to complement our rich and diverse culture?' Then I thought again, teachers are often known for their official, English-style dressing: well-tucked and neat. So, I finally decided on something, an English trouser, a white shirt, and a half jacket
After making that decision, the next difficult choice was selecting a colour that would suit my complexion. My designer, the tailor, suggested I go for forest green. I quickly imagined myself in forest green, but it didn’t suit me, so I opted out and chose a wine-coloured fabric instead
I finally settled on a wine-coloured English trouser, paired with a white shirt, a red and black patterned tie, and a half jacket. I completed the look with black cover shoes and a matching black belt. I was hoping my tailor would deliver it perfectly, and to my amazement, he did an excellent job. I was very happy and satisfied with the sewing.
Initially, I planned to go for a wine-coloured suit, but after doing the calculations, I realized it was too expensive for me to afford at that moment. So, I opted for a more budget-friendly but still perfect official outfit.
The cost of the outfit
The total cost of the outfit wasn’t too high, and I’ll break it down below:
I bought two trouser cuts for ₦7,000 (approximately 34.92 STEEM).
The white shirt also cost ₦7,000 (34.92 STEEM).
The cover shoes were a bit more expensive at ₦35,000 (around 180 STEEM).
I paid the tailor ₦8,000, which is about 43 STEEM.
So, the total cost of the entire outfit, including the shoes, was ₦57,000, equivalent to about 292 STEEM. Out of this, only the dress itself cost around ₦22,000 in Nigerian currency.
Thank you all for reading, I used this opportunity to invite @bossj23 @basil20 @nsijoro to this contest.
Can you please send me a magnefied image of the shoe because I need to get one for myself, this week or next, emmalex25 this outfit gave you a distinctive look, you look more like a PROF on this outfit, the suit colour is superb..
