Great Day Steemians and Art Lovers, 🤗

The "Old Masters by The Future Masters" Art Workshop comes to an end tomorrow 18th of July 2025, I am really glad and honored to have been one of the participants of the workshop, it was a wonderful artistic stretch for me, I go to learn a lot of things not pertaining to the act of creating art alone but also the act of communicating one's artworks in a more understanding and appealing way, the workshop was a lot to be grateful for and I am indeed grateful for the privilege given me to be a participant.

I am glad to say to you all that I am over 80% done with this portraiture and I'm certain of finishing it up before the exhibition on Monday. I sincerely the first time I am taking my time with portraiture painting like this, I have always made known my low interest for creating portraiture drawings and paintings but now I think I might be creating more portraitures going forward.

THE LEADS!

Congratulations, my friend. I'm really glad you've expanded your approach to art. And from now on, we'll see more portraits with your signature and style.

What was the most difficult part about working with oil paint?

Take lots of photos of the exhibition.

Thank you for the warm comment friend. It was first the smell of the solvent but it was later changed and also the fact that I had to wait for the oil paint to dry to some extent before applying another layer.

It's good to try out something new and who knows we turn out to like it (also the idea behind creating ugly art and the ugly sketchbook).

What I think about the painting? I like the colours but not the way it's made. I miss culture, colour and that hat? I don't think it fits, same fir the clothes.

Why not? The old masters didn't only paint in a certain way but also showed the "pride" of that time, what belonged to their culture. That's what I miss here. A touch of culture, a bit personality.

♥️🍀

I understand your point but I achieved what I really wanted to with the piece at the end, it was for me to learn some styles and techniques using oil and I got that!
