This is celebrated annually hence, this day we acknowledged the expertise and commitment of these professionals in guiding individuals, patients and communities towards healthier lifestyle. The theme for this year's celebration, was Celebrating World Dietitian's Day: "Food Connects Us," emphasizes the profound ways in which food brings people together, transcending cultural and social boundaries.

## Understanding the Roles: Dietitian vs. Nutritionist

A dietitian is a regulated health professional with specialized training in food and nutrition. They hold a bachelor's degree in dietetics or a related field, complete supervised internship training and pass a national examination known as Training of Professionals Council (TOPC) to earn credentials such as Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). Dietitians provide evidence-based dietary advice, medical nutrition therapy, provide Diet plan/guide to in and out Patients/clients and work in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community health organizations.

To embody this theme, a series of events were carried out such as: Solemn Assembly and Prayers for the Nation: This was handled by the Secretarwith a gathering where participants reflect on the importance of unity and health. Set up booths where dietitians offer, anthropometry measurements which include (height and weight, waist hip ratio measurements, and calculating of BMI measurement. Then giving dietary counseling to mothers on complimentary feeling. This initiative provides individuals with personalized guidance, promoting informed food choices and healthier eating habits.
