Introduction

The market which is called "Bazar" in Urdu language is very crowded all the time. I usually go to visit the market on weekends because i have a off day from both work and school as well. I love to spend my weekends at the local market in Kalabagh! There's always so much to see and do, and the people are always so friendly. I always feel like I 'm a part of the community when I'm there. Kalabagh is a beautiful town with a local market where every thing is available from bread to meat to fruits and vegetables. I always find something new to buy and the prices are very reasonable. It's a great place to wander around and meet people.

Locals of Kalabagh

The people of this town are very lovely and charming they are not that much rich but by hearts they are pure gold and are able to treat you with good respect and humbleness.

Kalabagh is known for its various seasonal fruits. You can find different varieties of apples, pears, grapes, plums and many more at the local market. Apart from this you can also buy fresh vegetables like tomatoes, eggplants, cabbage etc. the prices of fruits and vegetables are very affordable compare to other cities and the quality of produce is excellent. The variety and quantity of spices available in the market is unbeatable!

Sweet shops

There are also many stalls that sell traditional Punjab food like Kheer (a type of rice pudding), Malai Kofta (balls of cottage cheese dipped in a creamy sauce) and Naan bread. If you are looking for something special, then you can try some of the local sweets like Lassi (butter milk ice cream), Malaiyya (a type of halwa) or Rasmalai (a type of sweetmeat).
