Smoke In The Forest

I usually try to walk my dog towards the river in the morning, but now in the morning the grass is damp from dew and even high rubber fishing boots won't help, because the grass is above the waist in places. It's not only uncomfortable for me, but also for the dog. That's why yesterday I went for a walk with my dog in the evening, when the sun began to hide behind the horizon and the air temperature dropped by a couple of degrees.

After leaving my property, I smelled smoke, and as I approached the edge of the forest, I saw smoke. I even thought it was a forest fire.

When I went down the ravine from the forest to the valley, I saw that the smoke was spreading from the forest to the river. Or from the river to the forest? I decided that the fishermen had lit a big bonfire by the river.

The sun had already hidden behind the forest, but it was still light enough for me to make it home, especially since the nights are not very dark right now.

I headed in that direction, there's a path that's less overgrown with grass. I want to see the source of the smoke.

As a result, I reached the forest, went up to the cemetery, passed through the cemetery, and went out onto the main road in my village. I didn't see the source of the smoke. It turns out that my daughter also went to look for the source of the smoke and said that it was coming from a small swamp.
We still didn't understand what it was. If I could have thought that some children had lit a bonfire, then in 10 years of living in this place, I had never seen children in this valley or the swamp. They don't come here to have fun.
