Today I’m sharing another essential problem from Raymond Chang’s Chemistry (14th Edition). This one is from Chapter 1: Measurement and the Properties of Matter, and it involves converting temperatures from Kelvin to Celsius — a key skill in any scientific context.


🔹 Problem 1.14:

Convert the following temperatures to degrees Celsius:

(a) 77 K – the boiling point of liquid nitrogen
(b) 4.2 K – the boiling point of liquid helium
(c) 601 K – the melting point of lead


Understanding temperature in both Celsius and Kelvin is vital when studying thermodynamics, physical chemistry, and laboratory science.
