In 18 months emergence of physical AI.

It is the marriage of the artificial mind with the mechanical body.

China, already famous for its bold bets on artificial intelligence, has just lit the fuse of a revolution that mixes codes, circuits and synthetic muscles. A former high-ranking official revealed that more than 100 advances at the deepseek level, that model of already competing with Western giants, should emerge in just 18 months.

But the most intriguing thing is where that intelligence will live, not only in digital clouds or supercomputers, but in bodies, arms and legs, metal and silicon humanoids ready to walk by our side, this new frontier is called physical AI, it is the marriage of the artificial mind with the mechanical body.

The idea is that a humanoid robot not only thinks like an AI, but senses the environment, interprets physical stimuli in real time and reacts with movements that are increasingly similar to those of a human being. Ultra-advanced touch sensors, more precise actuators and software capable of learning at every step are at the heart of this generation of almost breathing machines.

It's as if each robot is a walking laboratory, training its own brain as it interacts with the world, but putting an artificial brain into a metal body isn't just a matter of assembling parts. Security and stability are absolute priorities.

Imagine an army of robots learning to interact in unpredictable environments, factories, streets, houses, for that, Chinese engineers are developing redundant systems, fail-safe algorithms and automatic disconnection protocols.

It is almost as if each humanoid had an emergency consciousness, a layer of protection to prevent wrong decisions from becoming accidents. Anyone who thinks that this revolution is going to stay within the borders of China is wrong. Large factories are already designing robots for assembly, inspection and heavy maintenance tasks.

In medicine, as we saw in the previous post, one of these is being trained in the United States and must act as a caregiver and surgical assistant. In risk areas such as nuclear plants, oil platforms or disaster regions, these new synthetic workers promise to be the first line saving human lives.

And if today they still seem limitless robotics, get ready. Physical AI evolves with each error corrected, with each repeated task, with each data collected at a pace that in 18 months can be terrifying for those who are not prepared.

What will become of the world when more than 100 advances like dipsik spread across the planet? But now within bodies capable of opening doors, shaking hands and looking into each other's eyes. Are we ready to live with intelligences that have form, presence and perhaps personality? Will we humans be able to maintain control of this new generation of machines? It's a lot of questions, I know, but you're smart and you have opinions on them.
