Saludos a todos los amantes del arte y de la escritura. Una vez más nos encontramos con otro artista plástico y sus obras para motivarnos a escribir textos creativos. Para esta edición, el invitado es Santiago Rusiñol i Prats:

Este pintor nació el 25 de febrero de 1861 en Barcelona (España). Pertenecía a una familia dedicada a la industria textilera. Desde muy joven sintió inclinación hacia las artes. No solo hacia la pintura, sino también hacia la escritura. De hecho, escribió textos poéticos, narrativos y dramáticos.

Siempre recibió el apoyo económico de su familia. Esto le posibilitó viajar por muchos países europeos y recorrer otras ciudades españolas.

Se formó académicamente en el Centro de acuarelistas de Barcelona.

En el año 1889, cuando tenía 28 años, viajó a París y allá compartió residencia con dos pintores españoles: Ramón Casas e Ignacio Zuloaga.

En sus obras aborda temáticas paisajistas, tanto de ambientes rurales como urbanos, así como composiciones simbolistas.

Era un hombre muy culto y se ganó la admiración de toda la población española, en especial la de los habitantes de Barcelona.

Falleció el 13 de junio de 1931 en Aranjuez (España), a los 70 años.

Greetings to all art and writing lovers. Once again, we're joined by another visual artist and his works to inspire us to write creative texts. This year's guest is Santiago Rusiñol i Prats:

This painter was born on February 25, 1861, in Barcelona (Spain). He belonged to a family dedicated to the textile industry. From a very young age, he felt an inclination toward the arts. Not only toward painting, but also toward writing. In fact, he wrote poetic, narrative, and dramatic texts.

He always received financial support from his family. This enabled him to travel to many European countries and visit other Spanish cities.

He received academic training at the Barcelona Watercolor Center.

In 1889, when he was 28 years old, he traveled to Paris and shared a residence with two Spanish painters: Ramón Casas and Ignacio Zuloaga.

His works address landscape themes, both rural and urban settings, as well as symbolist compositions.

He was a highly cultured man and earned the admiration of the entire Spanish population, especially the inhabitants of Barcelona.

He died on June 13, 1931, in Aranjuez (Spain), at the age of 70.

For this edition, we have selected the following works so you can choose the one you like best to write about: Morphine (1894), the second, Interior of a Café (1892), and the third, The Laughing Girl (1894).

Que sorpresa! Tener a Santiago Rusiñol por aquí. Te cuento que esa obra “La morfina” se encuentra aquí en Sitges, en el museo del artista donde hay una gran colección de sus obras. Aquí es muy importante y la biblioteca del pueblo, el museo, y una calle llevan su nombre así como una escultura junto a Ramon Casas frente al mar. 🙂 Buscaré cómo rendirle homenaje al artista.

Felicitaciones a los ganadores en la edición 151. Los premios ya fueron transferidos a sus monederos.

Por otra parte, estupendo invitado para esta semana. Luz, oscuridad y historia en segundo plano. Estoy segura que estas obras de Rusiñol i Prats serán inspiradoras para buenas historias.
