We think they should not have happened if God had prevented them. This was the thought expressed by Hammed after watching a television series on the needless suffering and oppression of the Blacks in South Africa under the White minorities that ruled them. He questioned his Christian friend, “Why did God allow such suffering and injustice on Earth?” After the answer of Hammed’s friend, he came to realise that God was not to blame. We see from our Bible passage that God really designed life to be full of peace, harmony, abundance, increasing joy, health and prosperity. These and more will happen if we hearken diligently to God’s word and do them. His word (The Bible) contains clear guidelines for peace, purity, power, safety and prosperous life. When things go wrong, just be sure that it was man that went wrong in managing life, not God. Recovery is sure if people and leaders go back and pay close attention to God’s word and do what it says.
