It had been eight years since she left the entertainment industry to start a family. Eight long years that completely erased whatever she thought she was, leaving her far worst off than even a rookie. She was so lost in her thoughts that she failed to notice the tears that were slipping out of her eyes This wasn't the first time she was turned down. Actually, the first time, she was still very much motivated and energetic. To her, it was their loss, not hers. Even after the tremendous turn downs she received after, she still kept her hopes up and her faith strong but today completely shattered the last restraint she was desperately holding onto. It was not the rejection, she had already gotten used to that part. It was the words that followed after. *~"A mother of three?! How on earth do you expect to land this job?! Yes, you were thriving in the industry back then but that was eight years ago. This is no longer the entertainment industry of then. The world is constantly evolving Ma'am. She was young, beautiful and industrious. It was just a matter of time before she became a popular supermodel. But that was when Frank proposed, even after the marriage, she thought she could still keep her career life active. Well to some extent, she did but that was until the kids came into the picture. Reminiscing on her past glory days back on the runway and comparing it to the current version of herself just made it hurt even more. The current her was a barely-put-together housewife, a mother of three who almost never had the luxury of time to care for her own self. She loved her family, though she still couldn't help but wonder what her life would look like if she had put a hold to the wedding maybe for four or six years perhaps. With this question crowding her thoughts, she drifted into dream land. ... 🎵🎵🎵 "..,..,..,..., Our God is an awesome God. He reigns from heaven above with wisdom, power and love. Our God is an Awesome God....." 🎵🎵🎵 She had barely managed to fall asleep when her phone rang. It was 'Awesome God' from 'A week Away'. Her seven years old had been so obsessed with the song after watching 'A week Away' even going as far as changing her ringtone to it. "Ma'am, it's way past closing time and your kids are still in school" The teacher's displeased tone rang out as soon as she answered the phone. This completely wiped off the drowsiness from her eyes. Way past closing time?! She turned to the wall clock in the living room. "6:48! Hell! I'm on my way please" After ending the call, she threw on the clothes she had taken off and rushed out. It was already to seven. How exactly had she slept that long? Emelia was out the door when she realized she had forgotten to take the car keys. A shockwave went through her body leaving her dizzy, like her brain was spinning in concentric circles. The last thing she saw was a red liquid from the side of her eyes before she passed out. . . . . . . "Emelia you are up next. Do your thing girl!" someone tapped her on the shoulder and gave her two thumbs up Emelia frowned and her brows furrowed slightly. She was up next for what? Was she dying? The last thing she remembered was tripping on the stairs and passing out. Was this the after life? Did she die? No! No! She can't die! What about her children? Who will take care of them for her? What about Frank? He'd be so heart broken? He could never handle those children on his own. How will they cope without her. Jackson will no longer take his veggies and who would help Della to bed. The kid had been showing signs of insomnia recently. Amber has been asking lots of questions from school. Frank was also too busy, he would never find time to listen to her questions. No, she couldn't die! "I'm not next! I'm not going there" Emelia yelled out and the whole room went dead silent That was when she realized were she was? A dressing room. "Babes what's wrong? Did they mess up your makeup again?" A lady waltzed over She knew this lady. She was Anna Kumar, One of the top famous models in the country. "Miss Emelia, please what is wrong. I'll adjust it immediately?" A timid looking girl holding tightly unto a make up brush muttered in a voice that was barely audible Emelia stared at her reflection in the mirror and was short of words. Her hair clearly had a lot of work done on it. But all this wasn't as shocking as the piece she had on. The pearl! Master Chen's Ocean specials! There was no way! Even in her prime, she had never dressed up this glamorous. Not once in her entire life! "Babes, you are up next! We don't have that time" Anna coed "And you! Why would you mess up now of all times?" She turned to the makeup artist and scolded Emelia was simply too stunned to speak. What exactly was happening to her? How on earth did she go from tripping and passing out on the stairs to being in a dressing room with Anna Kumar, a top model in the country and wearing Master Chen's Ocean design!
