#### Introduction Hello Steemians! I welcome you once again to the season 2 of the steemit engagement challenge. Today is the second day of the contest for this season. I hope you have been having a nice time since yesterday and I hope you had a great night rest. I am Kehinde Micheal and my username is @msquaretwins on this platform. In this post I am going to be discussing and explaining why steemit platform is by far better than all other social media based on my own view and perspective. # #### Social Media I use Daily and Why it is Beneficial to me There are many social media that I use daily. But among all, I use WhatsApp the most. Whatsapp is a messaging App that allows users to send information from any part of the world. WhatsApp is beneficial to me because it is easy to use. Moreso, I use WhatsApp because many of my friends use it and I find it suitable and quick to pass across information to them.

### Why Steemit Platform is Better than Other Social Media It is a privilege to be discussing this important topic today on Urdu community. I joined this great platform a year and some days ago. Specifically, I joined in May, 2021. Since I joined this platform, I must say that it has been great and wonderful and I have not regretted joining this great platform. With the little experience I have on this platform, there is no doubt that this platform is far better than all other social media. Some of the reasons why I consider steemit platform to be better than all other social media are highlighted and justified below.👇 - ### DECENTRALIZATION One of the benefits of steemit over other social media is Decentralization. Decentralization means that power and authority is distributed or delegated. If a platform is decentralized, it means that the power or authority is not managed by central authority. Steemit Platform is a decentralized platform and this makes it possible for every users to be in control of their account. While in other social media like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, users do not have 100 percent control of their account. This is because they are centralized in nature. Meaning that the power is not given or distributed or delegated across the system. - ### VALUE Another reason why I believe steemit Platform is better than all other social media is value. Like I said, I joined this platform a year ago, and I must say that the value I have gotten on steemit platform is far more than all other social media that I have been using for years. One of the value that I got through steemit platform is cryptocurrency and Blockchain training. Before I joined steemit platform, I have little or no knowledge of cryptocurrency and Blockchain. Joining steemit platform has given me privilege to learn useful things about cryptocurrency and Blockchain and I count this a great advantage to me. While other social media does not give me tangible value as steemit does. I just engage on some of them without any value added except to read news and most of them don't add anything to me. - ### REWARD One of the things that makes steemit platform totally different from all other social media is reward. Steemit platform is a platform that reward users with coins which they can convert to their fiat currency anytime they want to. Users get reward of their effort they put to work on steemit platform. This is unlike other social media. Other Social media do not reward their users at all. For example, I joined Facebook about 12 years ago and I can say that I have made more than five thousand quality posts on Facebook without any reward. But I joined steemit platform just last year, and my first post was rewarded. And ever since then, I have been enjoying support and reward on this platform. Below is one of my post on Facebook. - ### SECURITY Security is one of the things that is very important to many people. Steemit Platform is built on Blockchain. And every project that is built on Blockchain is secured. Steemit Platform is a project that is built on Blockchain, which means that it is secured. Unless a user gives out is keys, nobody can temper with his her account. Whereas, all other social media like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn are not built on Blockchain and this makes users' account to be prone to attack of the third party. For example, I have heard of many instances of Facebook, Instagram and some other social media hacking from many people. - ### QUALITY CONTENTS AND INFORMATION One of the things that makes steemit platform stands out is quality contents. The platform try as much as possible to ensure that users post contents that are quality and not plagiarized. This means that almost every users on steemit publish contents that are theirs, original contents. Therefore, I can be sure that the information I get on steemit platform is at least 85 to 90% quality. This is not the same for other social media where there is gabbage in and gabbage out. People post what they like on other social media. No one checks for plagiarized contents on other social network. This implies that the information gotten on other social media are not be reliable.

# ### Conclusion In this post, I have mentioned some reasons why I believe steemit platform is far better than other social media. Steemit rewards users who publish good content. Apart from the reward, users also get quality values from the good contents that other users make on the platform. More so, that are different communities which organizes educational contests at every point in time. With all these points I have listed and justified, I so much believe that steemit platform is better than other social media. Thank you for reading my article.
