La segunda entrega de la película que trata de un equipo de grandes ligas real, como los son los Indios de Cleveland actualmente (2022) Guardianes de Cleveland, pero cuando realizaron la película en ese entonces si existía bajo ese nombre, el director en esta segunda parte de la trama nos cuenta y nos da continuidad sobre lo sucedido en la primera parte pero ahora agregándoles mas personajes, un poco de mas drama, amor y comedia para darle sentido al equipo de la ciudad de Cleveland quienes en ese entonces, hablando de la película; vienen de tener una temporada exitosa y en esta parte buscan repetirla.

Entre los personajes mas destacados estaban: Tom Berenger, (Jake Taylor) Dennis Haysbert, (Pedro Serrano) Omar Epps (Willy Mays Hays) David Keith(Jack Parkman) y mi favorito de todos: Charlie Sheen (Rick Vaughn) un lanzador abridor y cerrdaor que se gano el respeto de todos en la entrega anterior por su actuaciones desde el monticulo, debido a que poseia un talentoso brazo y sus lanzamientos alcanzaban grandes velocidades, apodado ‘‘cosa loca’’ o como siempre fue llamado ‘‘wild thing’’ fue un personaje muy particular que me atrajo mucho por ser agresivo dese el monticulo con sus lanzamientos, lanzamientos que alcanzaban las 100 MPH y cada uno de ellos tenia un nombre puesto por el mismo.

Mas adelante en la serie frente al equipo de Chicago y en el ultimo juego, con su equipo al frente en la baja de la novena entada 6 carreras por 5, su equipo lo necesita, es llamado a lanzar y es cuando entra al terreno de juego vistiendo su vieja vestimenta, rockera y ese corte de cabello que lo caracterizaba, usando sus lentes y una canción llamada: ‘‘wild thing’’ que enloquecía a los presentes en el estadio, entraba nada mas y nada menos a enfrentar a sus ex compañero Jack Parkman; todos pensaban que iba a ser el mismo pichert fracasado del pasado, y con 3 lanzamientos con velocidades exorbitantes lograba ponchar a Parkman para el ultimo out del juego y le lograba dar el triunfo y el pase a la serie mundial a su equipo.

Ese turno frente Parkman, me cautivo, porque fue la demostracion de que aun tenia su talento en sus lanzamientos, que solo faltaba hacer unos ajustes tecnicos y despojarse de todo ese aparataje de lujos y dinero para termninar de hacer todo lo que siempre habia hecho siempre, lanzar bien, duro y sacar de out a sus contrarios, lo de su vestimenta fue algo unico tambien, la cancion al momento de su entrada al terreno de juego y el corte de cabello hacen de este personaje del beisbol mitico, de ficcion de que nunca existio en la vida real pero que le dio vida a un personaje y a un lanzador muy exitoso en medio de una comedia que embargo esta pelicula dandole el toque deportivo para hacerlo lo mas real posible que lo llevaron al exito.
