Dr Elaine Aron, an American psychologist, has said that between 15 and 20 per cent of the world's population is classified as highly sensitive, which means that one in five people are highly sensitive. Psychological research has confirmed that sensitivity is not a pathology, but a relatively stable and enduring personality trait.

So how does being a highly sensitive person, i.e. hsp, maintain a sense of well-being in everyday life? An outside article in the journal Psychology of the Day gives 14 suggestions for us to explore together: 1. Pursue a slower, more concise lifestyle?

Unleash your inner creativity and let the inspiration flow freely.

12. Have a strong sense of purpose and be motivated to live life to the fullest.

13, Loved ones can understand and respect their sensitive nature.

14, Be close to the natural environment and enjoy the beauty.
