How do you choose happiness? Well we choose it every day, just like we choose what shirt to put on and what to eat for breakfast. We can choose to let the negativity in our life take over and steal that happiness or we can *choose* happiness. I mean, it isn’t easy...and I am not saying we all have to go around delirious and blind to the things surrounding us… but we can make a conscious decision to not let it destroy us.
I was surrounded by negativity for a long time... *everyday*.. nearly beating me over the head telling me I wasn't good enough. Even now I have things that are heartbreakingly tough to deal with on a day to day basis.. *consequences* from leaving that negativity that was slowing killing me. But, I made a conscious decision that I deserve happiness.. and that happiness started within me.
I think to make that decision, you have to first realize *and accept* that you are not perfect (*I am not perfect*), that we are all broken.. In our own individual ways. We all have had challenges, struggles, and heartbreak that have lead us to where we are today… *who we are today*. Embrace the brokeness… and realize you are the only one who has the power to put yourself back together. You are the only one that can choose happiness for yourself.. No one else can do that.
Then, look at yourself and realize that you are enough… and that brokenness makes you unique.. and that uniqueness is beautiful. We are all beautifully broken, and it's about damn time we stop pretending we are perfect, and just **embrace the brokeness**.. ***It is time to choose happiness.. Everyday.***
Take time to notice the unseen beauty around you, don’t take yourself too serious, enjoy the small things, do what you love, say what you mean and never let a moment pass you by. **Because this life is too short to be anything but happy.**

But, this journey is about doing the Unexpected, and challenging myself to grow as a person by stepping out of my comfort zone.
