Bright sunshine up here (Northern Canada) has me working hard in the garden - and taking plenty of photos! Here are a bunch to help share the bounty:

Finally getting rid of those cutworms that leave little bite marks on my potatoes and carrots. The spuds are firm, pink throughout, and pleasant-tasting. ![c.JPG](https://img.blurt.world/blurtimage/drutter/f922213c81b4bc0d038cb754aa648016b353d16d.JPG) Today's green shelling pea harvest. Each pod has 5-10 peas (seeds) inside. Peas have lots of protein, carbs, fibre, and vitamins. There's the bushiest one at the moment. ![f.JPG](https://img.blurt.world/blurtimage/drutter/a266f94ace3cb984346cb22cb8a00217a957400d.JPG) And there's the apple tree, about 4 feet tall this Summer (adding 1 foot each year). It contains oil that has antibacterial properties and health benefits. It also keeps certain pests out of your garden. ![h.JPG](https://img.blurt.world/blurtimage/drutter/5c33f96836cce0e8831eda2ad5b6cd2d8f36e6cd.JPG) The bright sunlight has darkened the leaves of my strawberry plants with chlorophyll (magnesium). ![i.JPG](https://img.blurt.world/blurtimage/drutter/8547c63539e4da955ec3e7bca7000dddfc5323c2.JPG) I have a few blueberry bushes, all of which began producing a little bit of fruit this year. They aren't ripe yet. ![k.JPG](https://img.blurt.world/blurtimage/drutter/3a330803e1f1d54ad5c80428310a5d8af38b420c.JPG) This big toadstool showed up a few days ago, right out on the lawn. ![l.JPG](https://img.blurt.world/blurtimage/drutter/0b651632ceb92687c2a38f754087b18a2361cda5.JPG) I don't know what kind it is, but it's certainly impressive. ![j.JPG](https://img.blurt.world/blurtimage/drutter/5cb13f2fa657453c20c6a38ecb743f312c32cf6a.JPG) A shot of the wildflowers growing along the treeline beyond my garden. ![m.JPG](https://img.blurt.world/blurtimage/drutter/6064c6d7f44b87370128404ef567b59c030048d4.JPG) Honeybees were feasting on the nectar produced by these flowers sitting in the sunlight. ![n.JPG](https://img.blurt.world/blurtimage/drutter/ba1c097b176cbb82552c9402dba38f1c645af287.JPG) They really get their little faces into those flowers, one after another, almost oblivious to whatever else is happening around them. They let me photograph them and even stroke their backs gently. ![o.JPG](https://img.blurt.world/blurtimage/drutter/2fad23c2703c601ac2c3a4ef14eb91dcaeb52e41.JPG) Bumblebees worked the area as well, taking advantage of the ample nectar from the various types of flowers. You can really see the pollen collected on the side of the bee's leg in that shot. ![p.JPG](https://img.blurt.world/blurtimage/drutter/f0925ca4d6db7ad6e2b9d070b85a00b1e9180183.JPG) This one was focused on the stacks of purple flowers, and its pollen collection reflected that! It was sparkling in the sunlight. Their populations have been on the decline, and that's VERY worrisome, because a huge portion of all food we grow is pollinated by bees. Without lots of bees, we can't have lots of humans... ![s.jpg](https://img.blurt.world/blurtimage/drutter/518d6292039d005146e123b161ff5188a174dac4.jpg) I see the price of BLURT is starting to move. It feels like altcoin season is about to blast off. It's going to be very interesting to see if our token joins in the fun this cycle or not.
