Creative Street is turning 2 this year (May 19, 2020 ).
This year's anniversary, our team is planning to make another special activities for kids and art lovers for free.

The advocacy of Creative Street remains the same: To spread art among the children of the Philippines by conducting free art workshops, giving away art materials and more out reach programs designed especially for the underprivileged youth.

Why do we do these?

We believe that art is one way to direct the life of a child away from vices like drugs, violence, and crime as most number of road crimes involves youth. We wanted to change the way they view the world because there is really a good thing in doing art. It gives everyone hope in different perspectives.

Another thing is that we know that ART IS A GREAT THERAPHY. Many institutions use art theraphy for trauma victims, patients in drug user rehabilitation sites, youth and adults in correctionals, and even in schools. Art is therapeutic.

Art can express your emotions and unspoken words. Art is one way to communicate in ways we haven't tried.

Art is also a sociable activities, we have group art activities where children can show their social skills and the experience teaches cooperation and teamwork.

Fundraising

Every other month, Creatives look for venues to conduct the said activities. And each event requires a lot of effort since we don't have a physical headquarters to stock our materials and no consistent source of budget for the art materials and snacks.

This year's anniversary, our team is planning to make another special activities for kids for free.
These are two to three sets of workshops and an exhibit showcasing the artworks of our previous students.

But in order to make these things work, we need to raise a sufficient funding to buy the materials, rent place and buy the foods.

We still have more than three months to prepare and we thank you in advance for helping us to make this happen.

ABOUT US

Creative Street is a group of young artists and youth volunteers in the Philippines. Most of the original members belong to a small circle of friends and throughout the year the community has grown among common friends and artists and networks. Creative Street is now composed of more than 30 individuals who are dedicated to conduct and facilitate free art workshops and outreach programs especially for the children around Metro Manila and nearby provinces.

Creative Street started among the street children of Manila with a workshop held at Rizal Park last May 2018. Now our mission and vision is to reach every child in the Philippines, no matter what status they have, and teach them the values of art and crafts.
